TYs and 5th Yr Ag Science students went on a field trip to the bog today. It was with Waterlands and was a follow up from a workshop they did in school, learning about bog formation, preservation, different plant species-native and invasive and the ACRES scheme for farmers who can get payments for promoting and preserving bogs. Thanks to Ms Colum for organising & Ms Simpson & Mr McWeeney for accompanying the students on the trip.
