Global Citizenship Education
Global Citizenship Education (GCE) is a programme aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of the rapidly changing interdependent and unequal world in which we live. It provides students the opportunity both in class and through extra-curricular activities to engage with topics and actions around global citizenship and social justice. The collective efforts made by students, staff and links with the wider community have led to Ballinamore Community School achieving three Global Passport Awards for the work carried out within this area. WorldWise Global Schools is an organisation that we work closely with to implement this programme in our school.
