On Friday 26th September Maire Dufficy a food advisor with Bord Bia visited the school to give a cookery demonstration to Transition Year students, students studying Home Economics for Senior Cycle and the student council reps. Maire began the demo by explaining the work that Bord Bia do to promote Irish food produce here in Ireland and abroad. She then demonstrated various healthy dinner ideas that students could make. Everyone got to taste the delicious food made and the event was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The demo reinforced our healthy eating campaign in school and linked in with the Home Economics syllabus.
