Junior ladies see off Carrick CS in thriller

Ballinamore got there junior b connacht campaign off to a great start with an action packed 7:11 to 6:8 victory in st Mary’s pitch on friday 27th September. The game ebbed and flowed throughout  and while Ballinamore were 7 poibts up at half time and ten points ahead with 10 minutes to go a determined Carrick fought back to only three behind. However Balliamore replied with a late surge that saw them win by 6 points.Although both teans were short some players thet served up a cracker and Carrick can take great confidence in the way they played and only for some fine goalkeeping by Ballinamore CS the result could have been in doubt.

Scorers for Ballinamore were Aileen Maguire ( 3:5 ), Carla le Guen ( 2:3 ). Emma Mc Govern ( 2:0 ), Leighanne Flynn, Roisin O Toole and Roisin Mc Hugh a point .each.
