Christmas Prayer service and Charity Fundraising

Today we had our Christmas prayer service led by Fr. Sean with lovely carol singing by the 1st year students organised by Mr Kane & Mr Duignan. Thank you also to all the students who participated in the service.
TY students Riain & Roise presented Linda Halstead and Walter Sharpley (representing SVP) with the food hampers that were kindly donated by students and staff for the Food Appeal. Well done also to our TY class and Ms Maxwell who organised a bake sale with proceeds going to SVP – Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ireland They raised a total of €233.50.
TYs held a fundraiser earlier in the year for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and today we were delighted to welcome our past student Helena Mollaghan and her guide dog Alfie in for the presentation of that fundraising event.
Congratulations to the winners of the Christmas Jumpers – 1st yr Sean McGovern, 2nd yr Saoirse Brady and 3rd yr Finn McKernan. Thanks to Mr Kane for co-ordinating todays event.

Stand Up Week 2022

Thank you to all who made our Stand-Up Awareness Week a successful, inclusive week! All year groups had an SPHE class on terminology and the key message was about kindness and using words that heal not hurt. Everyone wore colourful outfits today for Rainbow Day and congratulations to Aisling O Brien, Sophie Allen, Evan Molyneux and Mrs Parke for the most colourful outfits. Thank you to Ms Simpson and her student helpers for co-ordinating the week’s events.
