TYs and 5th years had a really valuable experience today as the RSA Roadshow rig visited our school. Students got to experience various driving simulations while learning about the risks associated with excessive speed, drugs and alcohol as well as mobile phone use. This was followed up by the Lifesaver Programme delivered by Orla McGrath and John Morgan from An Garda Siochana. This was a really hard-hitting workshop, but one that the students will hopefully keep in mind as they start their journey as safe and careful road users in the coming years. Thanks to the RSA, An Garda Siochana and Kathryne Bohan, Road Safety Officer at Leitrim County Council, who organised the event.
