Chef Adrian Cookery Demo

We were delighted to welcome back past student Adrian Martin who gave a cookery demonstration to students and teachers as part of a home economics promo. Adrian is the ambassador for The Craft Butchers Association of Ireland and has regular slots on TV3’s Late Lunch Live & RTE’s Today Show amongst other appearances. Adrian gave great tips about getting the best value when buying meat and cooked a delicious chicken curry with ‘courgette’ spaghetti and some beef tacos with salsa. The food looked amazing and was of course devoured once the tastings began.
Well done to Ms. Cooney!
The Farmers Journal produce a weekly home economics study guide in association with Agri Aware and the ATHE. One of the student resources produced this year along with the weekly guides was a revision book with key summary notes & interactive worksheets to reinforce learning. Congrats to Ms Cooney who worked as co author on the publication. Ms Cooney also completed a two year term as President of ATHE (Association of Teachers of Home Economics) on a national scale.
