TY Build A Bank
Our Transition Year Students set up and ran their own Bank in the School along with AIB Student Officer, Ciara McTeigue and their Business Teacher, Mrs Moran.
They visited the AIB LAB in Dublin to see the latest Banking technology, and held fundraising events throughout the year.
The money they raised from the activities was reinvested in the local community. This year they bought a Bench and Birdhouse for Trathnona.

On the day, all our groups were commended their product display and how well their interviewed during the judging.
But our congratulations must go to “Idyllic Acrylic”, who won second prize in the overall senior category for their innovation and design of student locker shelving.
Thanks to the Leitrim Local Enterprise Office for all the support over the past six months, but a special thanks to Mrs. Moran who worked with the students throughout the whole programme from idea generation last autumn right through to production and launch.
Well done to all involved.
