On Sunday 14th October 2012 TY student Ciana Stringer represented Ballinamore PPS in a cookery competition at Killegar Mushroom Festival. Students entering had 30 minutes to create a dish using local or seasonal produce and present it to judges Neven Maguire and Brian Mc Dermott. Ciana made a colourful and tasty pork stirfry that she had marinaded with garlic, ginger and apple. Congrats to Ciana who was a runner up and won a day’s work experience at Neven Maguire’s Restaurant in Blacklion, Cavan.
