Welcome To The Admissions Section Of Ballinamore Community School
The Board of Management of Ballinamore Community School, together with our Patrons, the Diocese of Kilmore and Mayo, Sligo
and Leitrim ETB, have consulted with the school community drafting our new policy. A draft was approved by our Patrons and
formally adopted by the Board of Management at its meeting of 29th September 2025. Key dates are outlined in the table below.
| 12th November 2025 | Open day for students wishing to attend the school. Please contact the school for further details. Note: All local feeder primary schools will be issued invitations directly through their schools. |
| 13th November 2025 | The school will commence accepting applications for admission for the 2026/27 school year |
| 13th November 2025 | Open Night/Enrolment Information evening at 7.00pm |
| 05th December 2025 | The school shall cease accepting applications for admission |
| 15th December 2025 | The latest date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application |
| February 2026 (TBC) | Subject Choice Information Evening at 7.30pm for Parents and Students |
| 07th January 2026 | Applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission |
