On Thursday 28th February the TY class participated in the Fair-trade parade in Carrick on Shannon as part of Fairtrade Fortnight which promotes supporting farmers in getting a fair price for their produce. Two speakers from Senegal also spoke to the group. The class then visited the farmers market and got to sample some lovely food from the various stalls. This was part of their study in Home Economics.
