On Tuesday 11th December 2012 Mary Mc Keon from North West Simon Community visited the school to talk to Transition Year Home Economics students about the role of NW Simon Community. Students learnt all about the important services that this voluntary agency does around the North West region in tackling and preventing homelessness. This topic is very much part of everyday life and is also in the Leaving Certificate Social Studies section of the course. It also tied in with Social Awareness Week that was running at that time in school.
