Senior Girls Team Vs Ursuline Sligo in Ballinamore SOH on Thursday 12th September.
Hard luck to the girls who lost on a score line of 4:8 to 3:9. First half goals were scored by Rebecca O Reilly and Nicole Hargaden.
We lead at half time by 2 points on a score of 2:6 to 2:4 after playing with a strong cross breeze.
Ballinamore battled hard in a very tight evenly matched contest. We went 4 points up half way through the second half after a goal from Amuly Cosgrove but unfortunately we conceded a goal straight after.
Ursuline crept 4 points up with 6 minutes left to play but frees from Aoife Donohue got Ballinamore back to within 2 points. Aoife Donohue’s free at the end of the game was caught on the line that seemed destined for the next to hold on to a narrow 2 point win. Hard luck girls and well done on a very battling performance and congrats to Ursuline on a hard earned victory.
Ballinamore’s next game is against Carrick CS on week begining Monday 23rd September away.
