Fifth year Geography students with their teacher Ms. Lee visited Glencar Valley and waterfall to complete the fieldwork for their geographical investigation. Students had a busy day discussing the formation of the glaciated valley 14,000 years ago, observing the waterfall and discussing waterfall formation, and collecting and recording data at a meander on the Glencar River. Overall, it was a very educational and enjoyable day. Students will now take the information gathered back to the classroom for further analysis and discussion in order to complete their geographical investigation which is worth 20% of the Leaving Cert Geography exam 2025.
