Welcome To The Admissions Section Of Ballinamore Community School
The Board of Management of Ballinamore Community School, together with our Patrons, the Diocese of Kilmore and Mayo, Sligo
and Leitrim ETB, have consulted with the school community drafting our new policy. A draft was approved by our Patrons and
formally adopted by the Board of Management at its meeting of 21st September 2026. Key dates are outlined in the table below.
| 11th November 2026 | Open day for students wishing to attend the school. Please contact the school for further details. Note: All local feeder primary schools will be issued invitations directly through their schools. |
| 12th November 2026 | The school will commence accepting applications for admission for the 2027/28 school year |
| 12th November 2026 | Open Night/Enrolment Information evening at 7.00pm |
| 04th December 2026 | The school shall cease accepting applications for admission |
| 18th December 2026 | The latest date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application |
| February 2027 (TBC) | Subject Choice Information Evening at 7.30pm for Parents and Students |
| 08th January 2027 | Applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission |
