5th year student Michael Keegan entered the National Skills Competition with his Careers Teacher, Ms Mannion. The competition had almost 25,000 entries over 489 schools nationwide.
Michael received a Commended Award in the Senior Cycle category and attended the Annual Awards Ceremony in the beautiful Clock Tower, Department of Education, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 on Wednesday 7th May 2025.
This exciting competition promotes the importance of Career Skills and encourages the value of career research. It gives students the chance to reflect on the skills they developed during their work experience and explain how those skills can help them in their future career.
The competition is developed by CareersPortal and is supported by the Department of Education, Gaisce, The President’s Award, An Chomhairle um Oideachas Gaeltachta & Gaelscolaíochta (COGG) and the TY, LCVP and LCA Programmes. Some pictures from the ceremony where Michael also met Ms Ni Mhaille at the event. Well done Michael.
