College Awareness Week 2023 gives students the opportunity to learn more about college life and courses.
This year, students at BCS have received many talks on courses and career options from a range of colleges and universities such as Ulster University Maynooth University Dublin City University, Cafre Agricultual College and ATU Sligo There will be an apprenticeship talk from ATU in the new year and Ballyhaise College will speak to students later this month. Thanks to Ms Mannion for organising the various guest speakers to visit the school.
Ms Mannion’s 2nd Year SPHE Class have been researching their ‘Dream Job’ and have used this week to research where they can study and what the College requirements are for their chosen career.
CAW aims to inspire and inform all students in Ireland about the importance of having a post-secondary education plan.
It advocates for students to have the choice to pursue the course best suited to their interests, abilities, and dreams, whether that is a PLC qualification, an apprenticeship or a university degree.
