Alive to Thrive – On Tuesday 13th of November, a number of students together with Mrs. Earley and Ms. Clarke attended a conference on ‘Youth Mental Health.’ This programme was held in Sligo and included a variety of speakers and workshops. Positive Thinking was the primary focus of the day.
As well as examining the benefits of being positive, the students also had the opportunity to explore various strategies to promote positive thinking in their own lives. In addition, this seminar also looked at the topical area of Cyber Bullying. Internet safety strategies were discussed together with measures to seek help or support if involved in such a crisis. The day provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to promote their social and personal well-being.
