our junior girls continued on their good start to the year with an 8:11 to 5:9 victory over sacred heart, westport. we started in whirlwind fashion and were leading 5:6 to 0:2 mid way through the first half only to be hit with a westport onslaught where they scored 4:3 to no reply after some good forward play leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. in the second half we battoned down the hatches and went on to record a great victory. well done to all concerned.
we now have one group game left vs st marys ballina and victory there would see us in the connacht semi final.
senior girls
st joseph’s charlestown gave us the points so we now have 6 points after 3 games. our two remaining group games are against st louis kiltimagh at a neutral venue and we are home to dunmore cs.
our u-14 competition will start after midterm and there will also be a first year girls blitz probably early november.
TRAINING for junior and senior girls on monday 22nd oct in st felims at 4:20 to 5:30 pm. its vital all players concerned attend as there are 3 crucial games when we come back after midterm.
