On  Thursday  8th  March  2018  Ms.  Colum  and  the  Leaving  Cert  Agricultural  science  class  attended  the  “Farm  Walk  and  Talk”  in  Mountbellew  in  Galway.

Students  got  the  opportunity  to  gain  practical  experience  in  Dairying,  Grassland  management,  Beef  rearing  and  Calf  Rearing.  Students  also  got  to  learn  about  soil  science,  silage,  farm  safety,  fertilizers,  housing  and  farmer  Cooperatives.  Any  student  interested  in  applying  for  agricultural  science  courses  had  a  chance  to  get  information  from  the  careers  stand  and  speak  to  current  agricultural  science  students  at  the  college.
